The “new” Blogged has been up and running for 2 weeks now. We’ve gotten lots of feedback and suggestions from users. Thank you and please keep them coming. We read everything that comes in to our inbox.
Yeah, we’re still calling it the “new” Blogged, but we should probably get back to calling it just Blogged sometime soon. But not yet.

OK, so it has been a while since we “teased” you with the news of big changes. Well, today is the day we deliver.
We are proud to announce the new Blogged.com site. Our new site has been completely revamped to highlight bloggers and their unique perspectives. We’ve created a place for people to get news and information that you may not see in mainstream news source.
A news portal for “the rest of us” that amplifies voices across the blogosphere by hand-picking the most compelling stories and organizing them by relevant categories such as tech, business, entertainment, sports, politics, etc. We are actively monitoring the blogosphere and bringing you the most fun and interesting posts.
We hope you like this new direction and find that it useful. If you don’t, shoot an email over to support@blogged.com and let us know your thoughts.

We made searching for blogs just a little bit easier.
We tinkered with the tags to give you better results. So next time you’re browsing through blogs go ahead and click on a tag to get similar blogs.
“The recent Democratic primary has caused an unprecedented increase in media coverage and discussions about the two candidates. We felt that the voices of the bloggers should be included in these discussions as well,” said Kenneth Yeh, co-founder of Blogged.com.
Blogged.com offers political junkies and casual readers alike a one-stop shop for finding key blogs on their candidate – with everything from op-eds and political punditry, to biographical pieces and news updates. Blogged.com plans to release additional lists of top 10 blogs on popular topics in the months ahead as part of its mission to help people “find better blogs.”

Gladys and I attended the Web 2.0 Expo held in San Francisco and it
was a terrific experience. The main goal of our trip was to see what
cool things people were doing and we were definitely impressed.
I think the highlight of our trip was meeting with Matt Mullenweg,
founder of WordPress. Both Gladys and I were impressed by what a
nice guy he was. He seemed both intelligent and humble and it’s
pretty amazing that he accomplished what he did at the age of 24. We
also attended some of the parties and it was great to see everyone in
a relaxed atmosphere. Pete Cashmore and Kristen Nicole were both
really approachable and friendly — we saw them at the Mashable party.
Overall, the trip was very productive and we met with many high
profile bloggers and are working on ways to improve the functionality
and visibility of Blogged.com.
